Dayak poeples is the native people of Borneo, they live up the river mostly, Dayak poeples related with animism in the fast is rich with their tradition that they still do in their daily life, welcome ceremony with hornbill dance,planting rice,wedding,baby born and even traditional medicine. some family still living on their old longhouse that everyone could feel the spirit staying with them. Bakonsu village is one of the village would be interesting to visit ,there are some old longhouse, the pantar signed if there were a big ceremony , the sandung a place to store their family bone after making a big death ceremony, feel the atmosphere of village and see their agriculture system. when I came for the first time in 1992 this village has no land excess, today you can visit their village by road and there are electricity as part of area development and semi modern effect their culture would not be avoid . visit this village and enjoy the Dayak landscape around this area may be an life experience to understanding Dayak in the fast,today and in the future.

 

BAKONSU DAYAK VILLAGE  2D-1N

Day 01. Yacht– Bakonsu Village – Dayak Longhouse.

Early pick up to your yacht and leave our boat boy than driving for 2 hours by private AC Car to Lamandau Dayak land,culture and nature, we may stop at Local Restaurant, experience our local life and Borneo nature then continued to Bekonsu Village,visit one of oldest longhouse and explore the village to see Dayak enhiritage Sandung or Pantar that they use to put their ancestor bone after Ritual Tewah ceremony. At night Dayak people usually perform you their traditional ceremony as their welcomed  known also as Hornbill dance.  Dinner and overnight  at Dayak longhouse. (L,D)

Day 02. Dayak traditional life and activities - Pangkalanbun.

After breakfast in the morning ,explore Dayak poeples traditional activities around this village. You will be lead by dayak poeples to their moving plantation to learn and experience how to grow crop,traditional food, collecting vegetables,using their traditional tools , learn traditional medichine and identify our local plants. lunch and Back to The village. Than enjoy our Borneo landscape ,gree hilly,forest falm plantation on your way back to Pangkalanbun, back to your yacht.(B,L,S)
